Southern Evergreen has been featured in the Greensboro Builder Association’s “Tour of Remodeled Homes” each year since 2007 including kitchen and bath renovations, whole home renovations, additions, and historic preservation.

Southern Evergreen’s work on the 1917 HH Felder House was recognized as an outstanding project by Preservation Greensboro Incorporated (PGI).
Southern Evergreen’s preservation project was certified Green by the National Home Builder Association’s (NAHB) National Green Building Guidelines. This is one of the first historic homes in the nation to receive this coveted designation.
The Business Journal ranked Southern Evergreen Architecture as a Top 25 firm in 2010 and 2011.
Professional Associations
The NAHB Remodelers of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) in collaboration with the NAHB Research Center, NAHB Seniors Housing Council, and AARP developed the Certified Aging-In-Place Specialist (CAPS) program to address the growing number of consumers that will soon require these modifications. Southern Evergreen received this designation in 2011 and maintains the honor with yearly continuing education.

Southern Evergreen is licensed by the state of North Carolina both unlimited residential and commercial general contractor licenses, number 61720 (qualified by Tom Garcia and Steve Johnson). We maintain this standard of service with yearly continuing education and financial reviews.
Since 2007, all projects have incorporated green practices. The principals at Southern Evergreen are all CGP. We maintain this standard of service with yearly continuing education.
Southern Evergreen is certified by NC Department of Health to remove lead-based paint in homes and offices. We maintain this standard of service with yearly continuing education.

Community Work
Southern Evergreen is proud to partner with Preservation Greensboro to present the Tour of Historic Homes. Our inaugural 2011 tour was a great success and we are currently in planning phases for the 2012 tour in Sunset Hills.

In coordination with the Greensboro Builder’s Association, Southern Evergreen has volunteered labor and materials to help Housing Greensboro provide decent, safe and affordable housing to low-income households since 2010.
