Southern Evergreen is a Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS). This means that we think about accessibility when designing and building. We have modified homes to care for aging clients and built several mother-in-law suites.

       

Going Green        

Southern Evergreen is the first firm in North Carolina to preserve a historic home to Certified Green standards. In 2008, Southern Evergreen was one of the first builders in North Carolina to be designated a Certified Green Professional (CGP) by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). As a high performance firm, we consider the entire building in terms of energy efficiency and sustainability. 

 

We embrace and encourage innovation in the building process.  We have experience with non-traditional building systems like Pre Engineered concrete foundation systems (Superior Wall brand or similar), I.C.F. (Insulated Concrete Forms), S.I.P.S. (Structural Insulated Panel Systems), Sealed Crawl Spaces, ENERGY STAR framing,  domestic solar hotwater, Photo Voltaic solar panels, Passive Solar design, geo-thermal, and many other emerging building technologies.

 

Southern Evergreen is a Certified Lead Based Paint Renovator NCDHHS.
